My Big Boy - Mommy Cries

Isaiah (5) is growing up right in front of me. I registered him for Kindergarten this morning. It didn’t hit me until we were leaving the building as I got all mushy and teary eyed that my baby is growing up.

My older sons pitched a fit when they had to go to school and even though it was a pain to drag them in there it made me feel just that little bit of good knowing they still felt attached to me.

Isaiah on the other hand is all ready for it and doesn’t even want me to drive him the first day because he wants to go on the bus.

I swear once they hit the school age time flies by like nothing. Geez in like 3 years my oldest will be an adult. arghhhhh

 I'm Rich

It’s the little things time and time again that make being a parent all worth it. Geneva (2) is starting to talk and one of my favorite words is of course ‘Mommy’.

Gosh does she have me wrapped around her little finger all she has to do is say ‘Mommy’ and instantly I am rejuvenated ready for play.

Each one of my kids have a special place in my heart for different reasons. Darian (14) is my sensible one an old soul in a young man’s body. He likes peace and quiet and just a lazy day of fishing. Cullen (10) is my gentle giant. He can be playing tackle football with the neighborhood kids in the backyard and then the next minute doting on his little sister and then last but not least is Isaiah (5) the tell it as it is kid. The things that come out of his mouth always keeps me laughing.

I could not ever think of having my life a different way. I may not be rich with material goods but in love and family I am a millionaire thanks to my little angels.

 The Moon Is Broken

You have to love kids and the things that come out of their minds and mouths.

Isaiah (5) was looking out the window the other night when he spotted the moon. He said 'Mommy the moon is broken'. I was wondering what he was talking about as I glanced at the moon myself.

Then it all clicked and a big smile came over my face. We had a half moon so to his little 5 year old mind it was broken.

Parenthood is very hard and at times you can get so overwhelmed but it is the simple times like these where your child can just light up your face with a smile with his/hers own ideas and thoughts of the world.

 HELP ME

The kids have a new favorite song that they found on cable on demand. Luckily for me (not ) it is on demand so they replay it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

I have to admit though it is kind of addictive.

 My Oldest Brings Home Dinner

Darian (14) my oldest just LOVES fishing. I am so proud of him that he is into that and not the tons of other bad things some kids his age get into.

He rides his bike all most every day, fishing pole in hand and back pack with his tackle box draped around his back.

Sometimes I get the call with tons of excitement; “Mom I caught a big one it’s HUGE!”. I let him know how proud I am of him and how great it is.

He has all ready brought home 3 pretty large, large mouth bass this week alone. He told me to wait off on cooking them until after the weekend as he plans to get a few more so we all can enjoy a nice dinner.

I know he is proud of himself for being able to bring home dinner like that and I am so proud of him too. I am most proud of his unselfishness and dedication to family.
