4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

When My Kids Smile I Feel Like a Millionaire

Yesterday we went on a little outing an hour away mind you, to a place I found on the internet. It is an indoor playground for kids and it’s huge.

It had a little something for all the kids all different ages. Darian (13) was not with us as he was with my Father for the weekend.

Cullen (9) and Isaiah (4) ran around trying everything. They had a huge tube maze and obstacle course, tree house, rock climbing, construction site and much more.

Geneva (1 ½) was feeling a little under the weather so it took her a little while to really enjoy herself. She loved all the slides and playhouses. Her favorite was the ball pit she played for hours in it

I was in my glory watching all of them having a great time, smiling, laughing and being kids.

I felt like I just won the lottery to see my children smile. Life is good.

 Day of Relaxation

My day at the salon was great! At first I felt way out of place as it is just not something I am used to doing. My focus is usually on my kids and not on myself. That is just a parent thing I guess. In fact I feel guilty when I do things for myself. The money I use for myself could be used for the kids.

I know the hairdresser was happy to have a customer like me, not picky at all. All most every question she asked I was like I don’t know what ever you think is best.

My highlight of the day was sitting under the hair dryer because the seat had one of those massage pads. That was heaven. Peace and quiet no kids nothing to do but to sit back and be pampered.

I got my hair colored, washed, cut and blow dried as well as a pedicure. I felt like a new woman when I was done.

I guess it pays off to give yourself a little treat sometimes specially when you’re a parent!

 Breaking Out

BF was nice enough to purchase a gift certificate at a local salon for me. 3 hours of beauty I can't wait. I think he is finally getting it that Mom is stressed out and needs some sort of release!

 My Goth Man

Darian (13) is coming into his own. He is identifying with the goth look. The painted fingernails, the chains on the pants oh my!

As long as he stays out of trouble he can dress any way his heart pleases

 Good Dad

Cullen's (9) Dad has made a big turn around. I am really happy with the way things are now. I thank God that he finally made this change for Cullen's sake.

It seems like going to court for child support was the way to make things change. Who would have known?

Yesterday Cullen's eyes widened and his smile was bright when he opened up a package from his Dad. His Dad sent him the brand new Halo 3 game.

Cullen had been wanting the game but it was too expensive for me to think about buying at this point. He did not even have to ask his Dad for it. During their weekly talks on the phone his Dad listened to his son and learned how much he loved the game and bought it for him.

Life is good. It goes to show how time can change things.
