Darian (13) and Cullen (9) went to their first town hall meeting last night. The topic at hand was a skate park for the town.

Darian called me on the phone to be picked up after the meeting. He was so happy telling me, 'We got it Mom we got it!'.

When I picked them up I could see all the kids on skateboards all over the place with smile every where.

As my boys came to the car they both had T shirts that said 'I need a place to skate'.

I was so proud of them for standing up for what they believe in and participating in this government of our.

My two oldest (Darian 13 and Cullen 9) have been getting along so much better. I am not sure why but at this point with the peace in my house I really don't care how it happened but that it did happen.

They are always out and about but they do check in. Kind of makes me a little sad like this is the begining of them jumping the nest and away from me

Geneva (1 1/2) is an independent little monster right now Everything has to be done by her, by herself with no help.

Neva has a new word... stop. She is surely coming into her own. No more baby... now she is an independent women junior

After trying it out I realized that going to school online, working full time and raising 4 kids is not a great mix. I decided that I would put off school for a little while.
Sometimes the way to navigate life is to know when enough is enough.

Leave it to my kids to request this song as loud as can be driving down the street. All of them jammin out to the old Michael Jackson who would have thought!
