4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 Mom's Are Always Right

Geneva (15 months) went to the Doctor’s this week after our encounter at the ER. You know what? Mom was right, it was an ear infection. She has been on an antibiotic for a few days now. What a difference.

Guess what they say is right…a Mom always knows.

 Doctors Are NUTS

Geneva (15 months) has not been seriously ill since well in forever. Last night she gave me the scare of my life. I woke up to her screaming when I took her temp it was 104.2. I could not get the Doctor on the phone so it was to the hospital we went.

After sitting in the emergency room for 4 hours when we finally saw a Doctor she asked me why I brought Neva to the hospital. If looks could kill I am sure she would be long gone. I told her I always thought with a temp like that you need to get them to the hospital.

She proceeded to tell me that the only thing that could happen, yes the ONLY thing is seizures and that there was nothing that even the hospital could do if that was the case.

Am I the only one that thinks that is totally NUTS? No matter what she says I know my baby if she is not acting right AND she has a temp like that I will sit in hell for hours if need be to make sure she is ok.

They say it is a virus and I can only treat it with Tylenol and Motrin. I am taking her to her Doctor’s tomorrow just to be sure.

 No Malice In My heart

Cullen’s (9) Dad has really stepped up to the plate since the child support hearing. He has called him every Sunday and even made a trip out here to see him.

We had a review hearing yesterday. I was so relieved when he offered to pay for health insurance and did not gripe about lowering his child support payments which was what the DOR lawyer expected.

It felt good when they asked if I wanted to go for back child support to say no. I feel we need a clean slate the past is the past and this is a new beginning. My fear would be that his Dad would get overwhelmed with more payments and then abandoned Cullen.

It’s so much easier to deal with these proceedings when the parents can be civil. That whole office is filled with people who carry hate for the other parent in their heart. It shows through their body language, through the things they say.

I am woman enough to admit at one time I was one of those people and perhaps I had good cause but it feels so good to move forward with a clean conscious of civility.

 My Little Momma

Geneva (15 months) is such a girly girl and I LOVE it! After having 3 boys before her.. this is a moment a Mom longs for to see her daughter being a girl.

She loves her baby doll she received for her birthday. The other day she started to carry it around and kiss her over and over. Then when I rubbed her hair she did the same for her baby doll. She is a proud Mommy just like me.

Miss Neva is growing before my eyes. I am savoring each moment each new things she does or says.

She can say thank you, Mom, Da da and Isaiah. She also says trash and kittie. Her vocabulary grows just as quick as she does. In fact she know what she is saying it is just a matter of me catching on to her.

Neva is settling in well at school now she has so many little friends. Instead of crying when I pick her up this afternoon she did a little dance of joy by bouncing her little knees and smiling. That right there makes it all worth while.

Getting Into The Swing Of Things

The powers that be in this life showed some type of mercy towards me this week. For that I am so thankful.

Geneva (1) is no longer screaming bloody murder when I get her home from daycare. That makes everything in my corner of the world so much easier to deal with.

A cranky toddler is no fun to anyone. Her cry pierces my soul as I try to make whatever is wrong right.

I love the evenings now just me and the kids relaxing after a long day of work. That’s what life is all about folks!
