4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 Cullen Got His Wish

Cullen (9) got to spend the day with his Dad Saturday. He drove from New York to spend the day with him. I am very happy for him as he has been wanting this for years now.

The visit seemed to go well but I know he was disapointed when it came to an end as there was no talk about when or if they would see each other again.

I am glad he made this step as before he would go years without even talking to Cullen but he has been sticking by talking to him every weekend as the court agreement stated and this was the first visit.

What Stress Will Do To You

For a few days I have been feeling so tired… weak and just not myself. I thought it was just a bad period from all of the changes and stress this past month.

Yesterday when I felt like I was going to pass out I decided to go to the hospital. My blood pressure was running high , I was dehydrated and I was having ‘dysfunctional uterine bleeding’.

Nice real nice considering this is my first week home with this new job. I felt so bad having to take time off to go to the hospital but I knew something was not right.

It’s so hard to focus on something new when you just don’t feel right. The Doctor put me out of work for the rest of the week but I figured since I work from home I will try to do as much as I can to show them I am not a slacker.

My older boys were great yesterday knowing Mom was sick. They did the laundry.. cooked dinner and helped with the younger kids. Darian (13) even walked to the hospital after reading my note that I was there to make sure I was ok. Cullen (9) and Darian stayed by my side until I was discharged.

When the going gets rough my kids always pull

 Bad Mommy

Geneva (1) is still freaking out when I get her home from daycare. I have been trying everything in my power to calm her down or settle her at least into the routine but nothing is working.

Last night after trying to feed her dinner and getting it all over me instead of in her mouth… I broke down in tears. I second guessed if I could do this job and handle the house the way it is now.

Then I felt like a bad Mommy like maybe I waited too long to put her in daycare and look at her now.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how they transitioned their kids back into daycare or what not I would really appreciate it. I am at the end of my rope but it is not like I have not been there before I will eventually climb back up it.

 Motherhood Does Not Stop

This past week was CRAZY. Motherhood sure does not take a break from it’s crazy twists and turns even when you start working again!

Darian (13) got bit by a pitbull, just a surface wound thank goodness considering how they have lock jaw. However because it was a stray dog he needed to get the rabies shots which consisted of 3 at one time then 3 more spread out after.

Geneva (1) has been giving me such a hard time when I get her home from daycare. It’s impossible to feed her dinner and give her a bath as all she does is scream. I switched things up on her on Friday afternoon and gave her a bottle when she first came home which worked wonders. I was afraid to do this as I thought she would fall asleep and not eat her dinner which would equal a no no in the mommy handbook.

Cullen (9) got some exciting new this week that his Dad is coming down from New York to spend the day with him on this upcoming Saturday. He is very excited but this little visit requires me to drive him an hour away to his Grandmother’s house (small sacrifice to make him happy though). This visit is long overdue and should help Cullen.

He also developed poison ivy! So I had to go out and buy this special wash to get the toxins out and spray to stop the itching. It is much better now thank goodness.

Then there is Isaiah (4) he has actually been very good lately no complaints at all. As a matter of fact I think school has been a positive thing for my little bugger. He needs to stay busy and interact with kids.

This weekend I took the kids to a Zoo on Sunday which they all  loved. Sunday I took them to this cool animal sanctuary I just found which is one town over. It is a huge petting zoo and what is even cooler about it is the fact that these animals have been saved from abuse. They run free here which is nice to see all kinds of animals walk up to you.

Of course Geneva loved the one animal your not supposed to pet, the geese. She kept going towards them saying ‘What’s that’ in her cute little baby talk. Then when they would start honking she would die laughing.

So one plus of living a fast paced working life is being able to do things with the kids again.

So there it is my nutty life in a nut shell, Monday morning time to prepare for what may come this week.

Thank Goodness The Weekend Is Here

This was my second week working and boy am I stressed right about now. Trying to juggle family and work is never easy but hey I will manage it somehow.

I am so looking forward to this weekend. Just me and my kids no work… no rushing around two days for us!

Love you all. I am trying to keep up with your blogs when I get a few minutes to myself. Even if I can not visit every day please know that those who are special to me here on the stream are always on my mind and I carry you all within my heart
