4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

All Set To Start This Job

Everything is all set for Monday for me to start training at this new job. The first few weeks I will train in their main office in Boston… after that I will be here at home working.

Darian (13) is all set as he is in summer school so he does not come home until the afternoon plus he has his keys. Cullen (9) will go to my Mom’s in the morning as it is on my way to the highway and I will pick him up on my way home.

Isaiah (4) and Geneva (1) have been enrolled in a day care which is a 3 min drive from my house. I took both of them there yesterday so they could get used to it instead of me just dropping them off and leaving.

Isaiah was no problem in fact he can not wait to start and be with other kids. I was worried that Geneva would have a hard time but she seemed to really enjoy the other kids.

It felt so good to go and get that day care voucher yesterday to know I have done it once again… off of welfare and on to work what a great feeling!

The younger kids will be in daycare as I am eligible for sliding scale daycare because I am transitioning from welfare to work.

I have an appointment this afternoon to go look at a daycare which is not even 5 minutes away from my house that has an opening for both Isaiah (4) and Geneva (1).

Thank you everyone for being there for me during the last month or so as it was so hard for me to go to welfare again but I am proud to say I was only on it for two months… now I will be earning my paycheck which means the world to me.

Love you all!

Had to add this song in here as I know it was God and my friends that pulled me through this storm... oh yeah and my Nonnie who passed away this year as I sprayed some of her perfume on me this morning.

Please Keep Your Fingers Crossed For Me

I had a first interview with a company Friday and my second with that Woman’s boss tomorrow morning. If she likes me from there I guess it is mine!

Getting your hopes too high can really bring you down so I am trying my hardest not to do that but I just can’t help but get excited as it is doing research which is one of my strengths.

Then the other perk is that I would work from home… which works out well because I can put Isaiah (4) and Geneva (1) into daycare as they will provide me with daycare even though I will work from home as that is one of the first things I checked.

Darian (13) and Cullen (9) could stay home with me this summer until school because their old enough that I can close the door and work.

They provide me with their own computer with their system on it, business telephone and pay for my internet.

I am really excited about tomorrow so if you get a chance (if your up) at 9:30AM I will be on this interview please think of me.

 Our Weekend

Saturday I took the younger ones Cullen (9), Isaiah (4) and Geneva (1) to the Easton Children’s museum. It was great a please they can play where they CAN touch everything.

I have always loved using my imagination myself so I had just as much fun pretending to me a patient of Dr. Isaiah’s or ordering from the pizza shop where Cullen was the owner.

Each room had a different theme with tons of things for them to do. Outside they were paleontologists brushing for fossils.

Friday I ventured to Worcester to a party the girls I used to work with were having. My call at first was just to tell them I was not coming however I was persuaded.

I am glad I went I have not been gone overnight from the kids since Geneva was a few months old and even then I cam right back that night as I missed her too much.

We drank, caught up on old times, laughed then we went dancing to a few different places.

Boy did I feel it the next morning for someone who does not drink.

When I came home I felt refreshed to no end…where I was so excited to walk in the door to see my kids.

It was a good weekend!

If It's Free It's For Me

Being on welfare not being able to do the things with the kids I used to really brings me down and adds to my depression. Some how I snapped out of it the other day and decided to use the internet to find things to do with the kids for free.

I found that the Brockton art museum is free on Wednesday nights so we will venture to that next week. Then the local library has a handful of passes to varius museums and zoos in the area for free or minimal fees.

Yesterday the library was my idea to get the kids out of the house.... not spending any money yet they had a good time.

Today I am hopeful that the library pass to the children's museum in Easton is available as I would like to take Cullen (9)... Geneva (1) and Isaiah (4) while big brother Darian (13) is at summer school as I know he would be appalled if I made him go as he is too old for that LOL
