4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 Kooka

Kooka is Cullen's (9) great grandmother on his father's side. She has been the only one who has stood by him from his father's side through thick and thin.

She never fails to buy him his clothes for summer, winter and fall which is such a help to me.

We went to visit her yesterday. She always cooks us something nice then we sit and visit for a few hours.

Cullen's Dad is still playing the whole avoidance game even though we received the DNA test results a few weeks ago that he is in fact Cullen's Dad. I thought maybe with the paper in front of him he would snap out of his selfishness...NOT.

We go to court the first week of June for child support so I guess I may have to see him then.

It sickens me that he can be so cold to his own son for no reason at all. Perhaps if I could make sense of his actions then I could be more at peace with the way he is.

 Claiming Her Mommy

I guess it comes with the age... but now Miss Neva (1) has come to claim her own. She is very jealous of anyone who comes close to her Mommy specialy her older brother Isaiah (4).

When we go swimming I see it the most as I hold Isaiah on one side of my hip and Geneva on the other. When she sees his hand reach over to my shoulder she automaticaly shrieks with disapproval then pushes his hand off.

I love it as it shows she has attachment to me. One day it will be me she is pushing away. As all kids go through the same stages no matter how many years go pass they all go through the same motions

 A Little Unexpected

Geneva's birthday was great however I found out she does not like to be the center of attention.... she cried when we sang her happy birthday In fact she did not pull apart her cake until I cut the big cake for everyone.

The kids from downstairs came up so that was good she had some guests. She even opened some of her gifts with their help. After each was open she would play with them for a minute of two and then she would be off to the next one.

I am very pleased at her first birthday it may have not been an all out expensive birthday party but it was worth a million dollars to me to see her happy and honored the way a little princess should be.
Thanks to all our blogger family for their happy birthday wishes.

 Geneva's First Present

I could not help myself... I gave her one when I came home from my job interview this afternoon. It's a cute car she sits in and has her brothers pushing her around the house.

She gets so mad if they stop. Well just waiting for my parents to get here to open the rest of the presents and do the cake. The excitement is KILLING ME!

 One Year Ago

One year ago today I gave birth to my fourth child, my first daughter Geneva Ruby. I can still remember the day that the ultrasound tech told me she was a girl. I jumped up from laying on my back on the table to a sitting position.... I hugged the tech and my Mom who was with me. I cried and thanked the tech she laughed and told me she had nothing to do with it.

All though my pregnancy was tough on my body I made it through. Geneva decided to come on her own terms no induction attempts worked. In fact the night before my scheduled C section my water broke.

She was born right at the time I was supposed to arrive at the hospital for the C section. The first thing I did when they laid her on my stomach was scream out to the doctor is it a girl? When she would not answer me I pryed open Neva's legs to see she was in facta GIRL!

I screamed and cried that she was a girl. Now I would know the joy of having my own daughter... something I had always wanted but never thought would be after 3 boys.

Time goes by so quickly when you look at your children it seems like a few days ago when I brought her home helpless as can be. Now she is walking around the house talking and being Miss independent!
