4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 The Best Mother's Day Ever

First off happy Mother's Day everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed the day.

BF watched the kids as I slept until 10am which has not happened in SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long so I loved it. BF even did the laundry for me without asking. It's those little things that mean so much

My Mom and I went to my Nonny's grave this morning and placed a headstone that my Mom made for her. Mom was a little worried that the cemetary may remove it but I don't think so it is similar to other's just home made.

It was nice to have three generations of Moms together even if Nonny was there only in spirit.

Then Mom and I went to lunch at a place we went numerous times before when I was a little girl.

When I came home I scooped up Cullen (9) and Isaiah (4)...Geneva (11 1/2 months) stayed with her Dad and Darian (13) was with my Dad. We went to the beach.

We made a huge fort in the sand and played in and out of the water. Boy did I have a wonderful day all around.

 Memories

I went with Darian (13) this morning to watch him fish. We brought Isaiah (4) and Geneva (11 1/2 months). Isaiah could not take being there for too long without fishing as well, so we went to Walmart and bought him a cute little Spongbob starter rod.

We dropped of Neva with her Dad then Cullen (9), Isaiah and I went back to the pond to be with Darian. Boy did we have fun. We stayed there for four hours.

I caught the first fish a big catfish that all most broke my line. I felt so bad for the little guy as the hook was in his mouth and into his eye. I finaly got it out. Isaiah was all proud as he put it back into the water.

Darian caught a few catfish and even some sunfish. We had a great time being out in the sun together.

 My Fishermen

Darian (13) and Cullen (9) have found a new past time... fishing. There is a park close to our house where you can enjoy nature. There are paths to take a walk around a man made pond.

My kids go to this park on and off but now it is their chosen destination as a friend showed them how to fish using the basics. There friend just used some fishing line... hook and a work.

Yesterday my frugle boys found two fishing poles someone had tossed to the side as they were missing crucial parts but my boys saw the potential.

I love that they can take something someone tossed as junk.. think about it... then make it work for them. I attribute this thinking to the fact that we are not millionaires. Instead of asking for a brand new pole as they know it is not within the budget they look for an answer themselves... AND THEY FOUND IT!

Seems like their pretty good at it too. They brought 3 fish home yesterday thinking I might want to cook em up. Well I explained how we can not eat them as number one their small and number two I do not have faith in that dirty pond.

It's nice to see them finding a past time they can enjoy together with minimal fighting. With those two they always find something new to fight about

 Nature's Healing

Yesterday Isaiah (4), Geneva (11 1/2 months) and I went to the beach again. The days we go to the beach are so calming. They sleep on the way there... have so much fun there.. sleep on the way home.

It gives me a little peace. As I watch them frolic on the beach they bring a smile to my face. I don't have a care in the world.. their happiness erases any trace of a worry in my mind even if it is for a few hours.

I have always loved the beach. The sound of the waves crashing... the feel of the sand beneath your feet. Beached and kids just mix.

I let them get as dirty.. wet as they wanted to get. My car was filled with sand after. Isaiah and I worked on building a castle while Geneva found a new use for the sand.... throwing it. She would reach down grab two handfuls of sand then throw it into the air laughing. She had sand all over her but I did not mind as it made her happy.

Isaiah was just a ball of energy in fact I could not even get him to stand still for a picture. He could be a s loud as he wanted to which he loved. He had fun running into the water then running away as the waves came back in.

He was in awe when I wrote his name in the sand then the water would erase it. I can't tell you how many times he had me writing his name again and again.
