4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

Does The Moon Effect The Children?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
I think we are scheduled for a full moon tonight...wait....I just had Cullen (9) check for me (plus Kate from Kate's Coven. GREAT BLOG I MUST SAY made mention I think) well Cullen says it's not out yet but I know it is he is just not looking hard enough

Isaiah (4) has been out of sorts all day. He is always hyper and a character but today from early this morning he has been doing things just to do them. Like it seems he is trying to drive me insane

I even took Isaiah, Cullen and Geneva (11 1/2 months) to the park before we had to pick Darian (13) up from an after school activity. Still he has more vinegar in him then anything.

My Mom's house is my refuge when I have days like this so I took off for a little adult time. When I made mention how hectic Isaiah was and even the older boys were testy. She was like it's a full moon tonight that will do it.

HMMMMMMMM......that has to be it because there was no sugar or nothing involved this morning. No other way to explain the out of this world things that are going on in this house.

Please send me your good vibes that I will make it through the night

It's so funny how babies will do their firsts on their own time. I have been wondering when Geneva (11 1/2 months) will start walking. She is showing all the signs yet has not been able to do it herself without holding on to objects.

Her birthday is coming up in just a few weeks and I was hoping she would be walking by then. There is no rushing perfection or Miss Neva. She is stubborn and has shown these characteristics even while she was in my womb. They tried to induce me once....I was having contractions then they stopped...then they scheduled my for a C section and Miss Neva decided the night before th surgery to break my water and BE OUT! She is truly a baby who does things on her own time.

Tonight as I was making dinner. She stood up on her own in the middle of the kitchen...as she does a lot but then she ends up sitting back down or falling Not today out of no where she took one step then feel.

I immediatley ran to her stood her up and kept moving backwards. My pretty princess took 5 steps without using anything ALL ON HER OWN!

I am so happy right now......walking will be very soon

Trying To Catch It On Tape

Since Geneva (11 1/2 months) has been saying her first word...hi along with the wave, I have been trying to get it on tape. She has started blowing kisses without the hand gesture so this is yet another thing I would LOVE to get on tape.

This morning while chatting with our beloved Miss Abby...Neva stands up next to me not holding on to anything and begins to blow kisses to me.

I stopped what I was doing and tried to get it on tape she would not do it. Then just as soon as I would review the video I did get...she would hear me saying geneva say hi and then would do it.

I did get some cute video of her chatting away...beating up Isaiah (4) and I think if you listen real good you may actualy hear her saying hi.

Oh and those marks on her nose.....it's two nice rug burns from her falling....oh now comes the times of the boo boos with her being mobile standing and crawling around no real walking by herself yet but she will only be sure to get more boo boos as she learns to walk

 Middle Names...What Their Used For

Yesterday as Darian and I were traveling all around town the subject of middle names came up. He was making mention of the questions that the ambulance driver asked him while taking him to the hospital after he was hit by the car a few weeks back. He brought up how they asked him about his middle name. I seemed shocked that he knew his middle name...in fact I was because I hardly ever use it except for in forms. He said the funniest thing about how I don't call him by his whole name that much anymore.....so he must be being good. I was dying because it was then that it occured to me that I think the main reason for middle names is to know when your parents are AT THEIR BOILING POINT. I can't tell you how many times my Mother yelled Angela Lynn. In fact I can still hear her clearly in my head as I recal that memory. I was always getting into trouble. I know other parents must feel me on this one. Isn't it funny? Like a tool that never fades away over the decades of parenthood the infamous MIDDLE NAME

 I Watched A WHOLE Movie

Sometimes I feel like I am in permanent fast forward through my daily life. It's so hard to take some time for yourself specialy when you have four kids.

Today was the normal RUSH RUSH RUSH. I took Darian (13) to his Doctor for a check up on his knee as he is still complaining of pain late at night.

So I had to pick him up early from school as well as Cullen (9) BF came over to watch the three kids while I took Darian which was nice because normaly I would be looking like a mother duck with all her ducklings tagging behind

Then we had to run from there to the hospital to pick up my Mom as she was being discharged for her breathing...ran her home then RUSHED to the local hospital here in town where Darian needed a hip X-Ray..which was fine. He goes to an orthopedist on Thursday.

Came home set the dinner table...had dinner..washed the dishes. I then sat down with Geneva (11 1/2 months) who fell asleep on my chest. So I took that time to be lazy and watch a movie I wanted to watch which was great! It was a movie called The Color Of Love which was made in 2000 about a grandmother who disowned her daughter as she was involved in an interacial relationship. Her daughter died in as well as her husband in a car accident. She never knew her granddaughter existed.

The grandmother overcame the racism she grew up with from the love of her biracial granddaughter. It was wonderful
