4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 The Aftermath Of Madness

I get in these moods...I am not sure what starts them I guess my mind when there are troubles inside of me that I am not even aware of. All of a sudden I start to look around my house and begin to think...TIME TO REARRANGE

All this after 2 hours at family swim today. Isaiah finaly went in the deep end. Funny thing is he would not let me hold him only Cullen. He forbade me from touching him. Guess brothers have that special bond. I don't mind that much as it is nice to know that he loves and trusts his big brother like that.

Then I move furniture like I am a bodybuilder knowing damn well at night I WILL FEEL IT. I moved around my living room AGAIN and cleaned/rearanged Cullen (9) and Isaiah's (4) room.

In between those two rooms I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the bathroom floor and rearranging that room as well.

Then I started to feel the after effects tonight as every muscle I had was sore. I was just about to lay down when my Mom called. She has breathing problems at times that require her to stay overnight in the hospital. So there I went to her house to take out her dog

Now I am about to lay my butt down to get some rest. Hopefuly I will not be in this kind of mood tomorrow...besides there isn't a lot left to change in this house

Things I Learned As A Mother

When I became a Mother I learned a lot of imprtant things.

I learned patience...children will test you time and time again. You need to have a bit of patience just to get through the day.

Unconditional love seems to be embedded into us once we give birth and look at that sweet angel who we created. No matter what our kids do or do not do we always love them for better or worse

The best things in life are free. When you have children you see how no amount of money can replace their love. Their love makes you wealthy without having a dollar to spare.

You learn just how hard your own parents had it. A child will never know the intense struggle that their parents endured until becoming a parent themselves

When your a parent of more then one child you become thrust into the position of a judge, jury and mediator.

You become a believer in the future...in dreams of what you hope your children can achieve

As a mother raising her children I see their clean slates and a chance to direct them towards the right path so that they don't make the same mistakes as I did.

You finaly know the true meaning of LOVE. As you revisit the past you now see you never knew true love until you loved your own flesh and blood

A mother learns how to smile and mean it. My children always make me smile wether their telling me sweet nothings or exploring the world for the first time. The way they make me smile is priceless to me

You learn life is TOO SHORT. Once their born it seems like life is on fast forward as the years just pass you by

You believe in dreams. As you look at your children as their younger you can find yourself lost in dreams of the future. Of what they will become..of grandchildren of watching your own children be parents.

I have learned to be unselfish to always put my children first. If I have a dollar in my pocket without a second thought it goes to my children. If there is one cookie left and my child is asking for it right away it goes to them.

My children have made me a better person. All though I wished that I had waited until I was older to have them...I cherish the fact that I am a mother to 4 beautiful children.
It's a tough job but I would not have it any other way

 Saturday Blog Fever.....Bow Wow..My Mama

This is a great song with an important message. Parenting is hard but single motherhood is even harder. I raised my older two with no man in my life for years. They still feel that pain no matter how much I try to compensate for their Dads absence it will never change the fact that their Dads have chosen not to be in their life.

All that hard work pays off when your children look at you with respect as they get older knowing how hard it was to raise children

I hope some day when my older boys grow up that they can sing a song like this and mean it even though right now I am a 'bad guy' in their eyes for putting my foot down. Even when I am angry at them I still love them with all my heart

It's wonderful that Bow Wow would make a song such as this for the love of his Mom. He went against a standard in hip hop as we do not hear too many of these songs from our hip hop male artists.

Sure Glad It Wasn't That Important

I sent an email to the chief of police in my town a few weeks ago. I just heard from them this past week. First I receive a voice mail from the chief of police very short just saying that a captain would be in touch with me.

Come to find out in yesterday's news paper that the reason why the chief may have seemed bitchy was he has been suspended for 5 days. for what you may ask???? For not taking a citizen's complaint serriously. Hmmmm no never that? Oh by the way it wasn't me either this happend in Novemeber.

I have been playing phone tag for a few days with this captain. He just sent me an email this morning saying he has been assigned to investigate and would like to speak to darian (13) and I.

I will go in and meet with him sure because I think they need to be a little more on there toes when it comes to these sort of issues. As if this man was not a police officer...just a man stating he was our children here in town could be at risk. It takes them a few weeks to even sit down with me???? Come on now.

I saw on the local news this morning that a 12 year old boy from this town is missing. Makes you wonder.

There are good police I do believe this but for every good one there are a ton of bad ones who abuse there authority and choose who they will protect.

 Family Swim

We went again tonight to the YMCA's family swim for an hour. This time they had the little pool open for the younger kids.

It was a nice time for all. I even allowed Cullen (9) to go as he worked with BF this afternoon renovating his friend's apartment.

The older boys played in the big pool while Isaiah (4), Geneva (11 1/2 months) and myself enjoyed the kiddie pool. They just constructed this new pool and boy did they do a good job.

I am impressed by the kiddie pool. It has a mushroom in the middle of the pool which is 1 foot deep. The mushroom has a cascade of water from it's top that spills around it. Isaiah was afraid at first but once he ventured under the water he could not be stopped.

Geneva tired me out by insisting on walking all over of course holding Mommy's hands. There are little fountains of water that shoot up she loved playing in them placing her hands through the streams.

Isaiah on the other hand, just loved walking through them with a big smile.

It takes a lot out of me but I push myself to do it as it is only twice a week but it is nice to do things as a family together
