4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 Went Right Back

I wasn't home for very long before I started wishing I was back there. That's where the hmmmm came in and that's when we got packed and went again. BF had been watching the little ones (I see this because it appears we may be on the mend again... )while the older ones and I went on the first outing. While I was there I missed Geneva (11 1/2 months) so bad...and felt a lot of guilt that Isaiah (4) did not come with us. Had I known that this hotel was so friendly I would have brought him with us. So BF offered to take us all down there as a family...which is WAY out of his character. He does not part well with his money nor does he jump for joy at family outings. So we did it spur of the moment it was great. Geneva looked so cute with her little bathing suit and she LOVED the water much to my surprise as none of the boys at that age enjoyed the water. I would have to take her out because her lips would turn color. She is boy crazy all ready as we were downstairs in the game room and a little boy not much older then her walked by she was standing holding the side of the pool table. She waved and appeared to say hi then took off crawling after him. She was a great baby the whole time. So as a family we went to the pool 3 times..played arcade games..ate dinner...played outside...went on the moon walk this morning and now we're all home safe. I even let myself enjoy the hot tub for a minute and then the sauna..ahhhhhh Vacation was nice but now it's time to get back to my 'real life'

 Our Mini Vacation

I am back all ready...it was just one night but BOY did we all need it. Something came over me yesterday not sure what but I began to remember how my Mom would take me overnight to a hotel down the cape or plymouth just for a night me and her. Those memories stick with me. It was then that I saw we never went on an overnight vacation NEVER MIND a VACATION. So my impulses got the best of me and we were off.

The hotel was PERFECT...family friendly in every sense of the way. It allowed the kids to be kids running around the halls playing tag...and there were lot of kids for them to play with.

I was nervous as we entered the hotel that it would be a pit...as pictures sometimes lie, I was surprised. The indoor pool was wonderful...just crowded but nice. I took a short dip with Cullen (9) then I spent the rest of the time pool side with a nice book.

The other parents were not like me though...mostly couples...mostly snooty you could tell they came from money or they thought they came from money...but that's life. I did not come there to make friends or to be something I am not.

We went and played a round of mini golf before our swim which was nice. Darian (13) and Cullen got along great. In between these activities I spoke with them about their relationship (getting along) and listening to what I say as no matter what I am the parent.

They had a nice arcade for the kids and my boys played pool a lot with the other kids.

I had some me time in the room while they socialized. It was nice watching TV in a quiet room...no one around no responsibilities very nice.

Now I am back to reality I wish I could have stayed longer I truly do but I felt guilty that Isaiah (4) was not with us. If I had known how family friendly the place was I would have brough him with me.

Now it's got me thinking....hmmmmmmmmmm

Off For A Mini Vacation With The Oldest Boys

I am on my way to the cape for a mini vacation. A hotel down the cape is having activities for the kids and an indoor pool.
I am taking the older ones on a mini vacation overnight for some good old fashion heart to heart talks without the little ones.
Call me nuts but being impulsive FEELS SO GOOD.
Will miss you all even though it's just a night.
Love you all and wish me GOOD LUCK

Too Lighten The Mood Video Of Isaiah and His Friend

I have been all worked up this week between the break up...kids home for vacation..the police incident with Darian. So I took time to make myself smile and laugh by watching Isaiah (4) and his pet/friend the ferret. We don't call her by ehr name any more as Isaiah always refers to her as either his pet or his friend.
It's nice to see him take care of it...play with her and pretty much be responsible at his age. Of course they have lots of fun together as they match each other's energy.
Enjoy...oh and this one is not sideways

Digging Into The Main Issue..You Will Find The Truth

Well I have been in an uproar since last night with what happend with Darian (13). I spoke to some of the business down town and it appears Darian was not seen there prior to yesterday nor was he involved in the incident..merely with the wrong crowd as they have been creating problems at these business for a while.
These kids have been running into the stores yelling...creating disturbances for a while. I explained to Darian the importance of hanging with the wrong people and would could happen to him. He knows better as I try to raise them right.
I still do not have all the information on this one man who took their information but it appears he is a retired officer. I followed up my email this morning to the mayor..police and news as it appears the issue of a man using the police department's name..which can send a mix message to children. What if this concerned citizen was not that...what if he said he was something that he was not and my child got into the car with him thinking he had some type of authority?
There has to be a fine line now a days between safety...following the law and respecting authority.
Needless to say Darian will not be hanging around with his new friend anymore as the businesses know him well as being a trouble maker. Of course I am the bad guy right now in his eyes but sometimes as a parent we have to be that bad guy to keep them safe and teach them right from wrong.
Ahhh another fabulous day in the life of a Mom
