4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

Out Of The Mouth Of My Babe

My 4 yearold is off the chain at times..he seems so grown in his little body. He has a personality all his own..which can make you laugh at times but as they say what makes you laugh can make you cry
He amazes me with what comes out of his mouth. Today at my Mom's he was trying to tell me something...I didn't understand..he got fustrated...looks at me dead in the eye and says 'Mommy...this conversation is OVER'. I sat looking at him stunned...I don't say that I don't think his Dad says that...I wonder where he picked that one up?
Tonight I was saying how my hand hurt...last week when I was fighting with the crazy neighbor upstairs I smacked my hand on my dresser. I must have irritated it tonight picking up geneva. Isaiah looks at me and says 'Mommy you need to not talk to that lady she's sick'. All I could do was smile as I know he has heard me saying she is sick (sick in the head of course).

Geneva took her first little steps tonight. I was so happy to be able to be here and see it. She was stunned when Cullen (9) and I started to clap and laugh. She had no idea what a big thing just happened.

Darian (13) made a new friend who just moved into the neighborhood. I know he got his outgoing personality from his Dad because that is just not me. That kid can make friends so easily. I am proud of who he has become

 Grammy's House

I had so much energy this morning not sure where it came from but I did nothing in the house. Usualy I clean..clean..clean specialy on Monday's but today was different.
Isaiah (4), Geneva (11 months) and I took off to Grammy's. Of course we surprised her as she does not get up until 11am (must be nice )
We visited for a while then Isaiah and I walked across the street to pick up a pizza for lunch. Grammy watched Geneva which did not go to well she is at that separation anxiety stage so if I even stand up she freaks...but I figure little escapes such as getting the pizza will help her get better at being without Mommy.
Isaiah was not as well behaved as he has been latley. He was sort of fresh and hyper...what a mixture. I had to keep reminding him that if he acts this way at other people's houses they will not want him to visit. That usualy works as he loves getting out.
Neva had a ball tearing apart my Mom's stuff. Of course Grammy spoils her letting her get into everything. She even let Neva eat6 a bowl of cherrios on her futon in the living room Neva did not take too long before she took the whole bowl of cereal and put it on her head. Thank goodness for two things...the dog because she will eat them up and no milk was in the bowl

 Easter Part II

What a beautiful day we had surrounded by family. I love seeing all the kids getting to know one another. There are so many of them now that there are little groups of each age...it's wonderful. Even Miss Neva had a playmate which was great to see...just to think last year she was still in my tummy next year she'll be running around playing babies with Riley.
The boys were so well behaved everyone complimented on how well behaved they were wich was a blessing because all kids have their days but thank goodness today was one of all of their good days. It's always nice to hear good things about your own kids.
Hope you all enjoyed your easter

 Easter Part I

Well I got the three youngest dressed and myself...took some pics even though it seemed like it was killing the boys. Geneva actualy seemed to like playing dress up. I am happy to say she has enough hair now to make pig tails yeahhhhhh

 Family Traditions

I am so excited this morning...I think more so then my kids. First off I CAN NOT wait to dress up Geneva (11 months) in her easter dress. I think she may have enough hair now to put in pig tails (yes Miss Hay finally pig tails)
We have been going for 3 straight years now to my Nana's house (my Father's Mom) she has a nice house out in the country where she hides all the plastic eggs for her great grandkids and then lets them go to town.
My Nana is getting older but what has always been her light is seeing her family together. I did not get that too much until a few years ago when it seemed like I woke up from a fog seeing even if I feel uncomfortable (I was not raised around them too much not having a good relationship with my Dad) it is about seeing my Nana happy for the last years of her life. Such a small thing as just bringing my kids to see her and the rest of the family makes her SO HAPPY.
We get together on Easter for this hunt and then on July 4th for a cook out. So twice a year everyone is together.
I have been feeling closer to that side of the family as well which is a great feeling.
So I am just counting down the hours now for when I can start to get them ready and myself. I'm actualy wearing a dress which I normaly just don't do I am more of a pants kind of girl but now that I have a daughter I have this need to dress similar I know I know call me a dork Isaiah (4) has a nice little polo outfit and the older boys well lets just say they will not dress up but they will wear something nice that they feel OK in.
Have a Happy Easter everyone. I will take lots of pics and hopefuly be able to put up a nice Easter slide show when I return
