4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 The Deed Is Done...Thank Goodness

Cullen (9) changed his mind at the last second. He gave me one hell of a time getting him out of the car. The tears started..the whole nine.
I told him there is no negotiation here YOU WILL GET YOUR HAIR CUT today! Finally he got out we went in and thank goodness the guy he likes was working because if he wasn't working I do not think Cullen would have done it.
Both the boys got their hair cut. They look so handsome. I love that barber he ROCKS and I told him so too he has such a way with the kids. Plus he can keep a good conversation going at the same time.
I even was able to pick up a few R&B mix tapes that they sell there for myself so it worked out for everyone involved. Yay!

Saturday Night Dance Fever-----It's About To Be A What.......GIRL FIGHT

I love this song not only can you dance to it with your girls up in the club but it is so powerful to listen to when there is that one....OK maybe 2 or 3 chicks that just get under your skin
I bought this CD when I transfered to the office down here and most of the females working there were rich...white...and snooty not liking anything that was not them. They would act all bitchy too specially to me even though I had worked for the company for 4 years it did not mean anything to these groupies.
This song got to me work many a mornings when I just did not feel like going. Gosh it amped me up for their bull before I walked in the door
I know Miss Abby loves this song Love ya girl

 Snitch

Cullen really opens up to me when we're alone. Most the time it's about school drama...which boy likes which girl and who's fighting with who. Goodness their so young but have so much drama like a little soap opera.
He told me how his 'friend' Justin said he was going to stab him. Then Cullen told me how he saw a knife in Justin's bag that he was showing people but Cullen didn't want to go to the teacher to tell because he did not want to be known as a 'snitch' or make his friend angry at him.
This blew me away because I can't believe how many kids bring crap like this to school and all it takes is one minute of stupidity for them to use it to hurt someone or worse kill someone.
I explained to Cullen just how important it is to tell someone in authority about something like that because that is very dangerous. He didn't want his friend to be angry with him if he told a teacher. I told Cullen there are always ways around that like telling the teacher to make sure Cullen is not implicated in the whole thing. teachers are adults...smart they can word it in a way that would make the kid think it was a teacher that saw it.
Now that word SNITCH I never taught my kids about that word or don't say something because you will be a snitch that right there is from the wonderful world outside society. Crazziness I tell you that a 9 year old would even think that he was a snitch.
I am very fortunate that my kids come to me with stuff like this. It is important for these little talks not only do I get the latest scoop on what's going on in the 4th grade soap opera...like I didn't have enough going on in my own life but you can pick up very important pieces of information...some that the kids don't even think are that important then act upon them.
As a mother at times I feel like a damned superhero training my little followers to be super. It's a shame that society has gotten to the point where it is at today that parents battle non stop with the evil that men do.

Thank You Chula...Goes To Show The Power Girls Have Over Boys

Cullen (9) has refused to get his hair cut for months now...he says he likes it the way it is but it does not look good at all. I explained that we could get it trimmed that is would be very handsome but he would not budge.
I have asked him...his great grandmother on his Dad's side has told him but it took a girl to make him want to get his hair cut
Last night on our way home he was telling me how all his friends are trying to 'get' this one girl in his class Chula. I have seen her myself she is GORGEOUS. I know Cullen likes her because when he plays the sims he creates a Cullen sim and a Chula Sim. He had to recreate himself as he died once
Cullen told me how his friend Justin is in competition for this girl too. I love this part about raising boys...giving them that edge of what girls want.
I still remember giving Darian this talk through the years. I told Cullen how it is important to be the girls friend..treat her nicely and how GIRLS LIKE A BOY WHO TAKES CARE OF HIMSELF. Refrerring to his hair I let him know how that effects the way people look at him because it shows he is not taking pride in himself.
Right after that he has agreed to get his hair cut...all I have to say is THANK HEAVEN FOR LITTLE GIRLS AND THANK YOU CHULA.
We will be off this morning to finally get this boys hair cut. I will put some pictures up after because he is so handsome with his hair cut.
Then my mind started to go this morning as I remember when Darian was Cullen's age and he had a little 'girlfriend' I went through my jewlery box and gave him some little trinkets to give to her. I still remember her name Nala.
We will stop by somewhere and get Chula something special...girls like gifts.
It's nice knowing I can help at least 3 boys know how to treat and respect a woman. Every bit counts.

She Did Her Mom Proud/Guess I Like My New Fridays

After writing that long post about missing my Friday nights with my girls...something wonderful happened.
I was going to take Cullen (9) to friendly's for dinner since my oldest Darian (13) is staying out over Papa's for the weekend. Geneva (10 1/2 months) was not having it...being without me she has been very clingey latley. So I took her with me preparing for the worst since it has never been an easy time taking the kids out to dinner at that age. You can't expect too much from them ya know.
She was AMAZING so good. She ate her food (little pieces of fries..bread..and hamburg) she is so nosey watching everyone and everything. She is such a serrious baby people will talk to her but she just grills them back trying to figure them out I guess.
She was a good baby NONE of my kids were ever like that. So I guess it goes to show that my Fridays can change I can still get out with my new little girlfriend
