4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 The Old Switcheroo

The ferret has seemed out of sorts to me. It sneezes a lot plus it sleeps a lot of the time. I called the Vets for an appointment but a physical no matter what is $58.
I called the pet store where I bought it and explained what was going on that I thought it was sick. They said they would not reimburse me for the vet but if it is sick they would exchange it.
Call it my motherly instinct but I knew it was sick so I talked them into having an exchange without a vet note as they previously said.
I felt so bad as he was a part of our family if even for a few days. This is where the switcheroo comes into play. Isaiah (4) would be heartbroken and may or may not understand so I sneaked it out of the house. There was only two to choose from both where bigger then the one we had but one was a lot bigger. The bigger one had bigger teeth and was very nippy plus Isaiah would so know if I brought the bigger one home he is no dummy!
It worked well Isaiah did not notice a thing all thought it is hard not to notice as this one is a female, different markings and way more energized. She was chasing all the kids around the living room everyone was laughing it was great.
Hopefully they will nurse the other one back to health so he can find a nice home as he was very nice and gentle however that gentlness i.e. sleeping all the time could have been related to it being sick.
Regardless this one has an appointment with the vet on Saturday so it can get a clean bill of health.

 Out All Day

I am so tired Isaiah (4) Geneva (10 months) and I left out early this morning around 10am. We first stopped at Target to get some new outdoor things to play with.
Then we went to McDonalds as this is one of Isaiah's favorite places to go to run off steam in their indoor playground. Geneva actually enjoyed herself this time as she has been too young previous visits. She ate a happy meal most of it of course I had to rip off pieces for her but she did eat it. She laughed with joy watching all the kids running around but mostly her big brother Isaiah.
Then we came home staying outside putting everything together. Then the older boys came home and joined in the fun. We just came in now boy am I nuts
Now I have to cook dinner TACOS this should make everyone happy. I was going to do some laundy but I stopped myself as I am no super woman adding one more thing today just might send me over the edge
Besides it will be there tomorrow. I think I will take it easy tomorrow. We should all sleep well tonight. Now the little ones and I are winding down. Cullen (9) is doing his homework and the oldest Darian (13) took off to play some basketball with his friends.
yes my friends the good weather was visiting today. I live in Massachusetts so who knows what it will be like tomorrow enjoy today

The Winter Is Gone? At Least For Now

The time change is usually my time to moarn as my kids have harder times going to bed on time as it is still light out. Darian (13) my oldest is happy as he can stay out later as my rules are in when the street lights come on.
Even though the time change with it staying light out later has it's downfalls it also comes with positives such as more time for outside activities when the weather allows us.
Last night after dinner I took the two youngest Isaiah (4) and Geneva (10 months) to the park down the street. They had a blast on the swings.
It amazed me as I was pushing Neva watching her smile as just a year ago I was visiting that same park pregnant as ever daydreaming about bringing her to the park to play and now I am doing it!
Cullen (9) did not want to come he spent some time with BF at home. He enjoys some time away from the little ones as he is the one that pitches in the most with them usually on his own. All though his love for Neva is still in full swing Isaiah tends to get under his skin at times.
Isaiah still loves Cullen to death though. Everyday when Cullen comes in from school Isaiah runs from where ever he is at yelling 'Culley' then gives him a great big hug. Isaiah does not do that for anyone else in the family.
The kids are having a great time playing with the ferret who has no name at this time. Isaiah insisted on calling him Abdul-Muhaimin (first name) then Isaiah (as the last name) as this is Isaiah's name backwards...go figure It's too long all though I was thinking of calling him Abdul for short but I think we will wait to see what personality traits the little bugger has then decide.
I made his first vet appointment for Saturday just to get a clean bill of health as the warranty for him expires Saturday. You never know when you purchase a pet so I would rather be sure.
Isaiah can't wait to bring his new 'friend' to his doctor's appointment. He's too cute with him. I am a little concerned as he seems to sneeze a lot but besides that he appears to be in good health/spirits.
It is supposed to be a nice day here again so we will be outside today finding something to do. Perhaps a walk, the park, bubbles something to get out of the dungeon
The good weather always helps me to feel a little better mentally. I admit some nights/days I am exhausted and do not feel like bringing them out but it is my duty as a Mom to keep them busy. Besides wearing them out helps me in the long run.
Neva hasn't beent aking the time change all that well as she has been up for two nights now just crying as I know she is tired but she is fighting it. If it's not one thing it's another I swear. It could be her teeth again as she has 3 more coming in and the first one is all most all the way out.

 New Addition To The Family

I have been thinking about adding a new pet to our family but I was not sure what to get. We are kind of limited as I live in an apartment. We have two cats right now so I wanted something different yet something the kids could actively play with.
After research I decided on a ferret. Now I thought they were kind of ugly myself but the kids thought they were cute. This little bundle of joy won me over last night. It is so affectionate and funny. It absolutley loves Isaiah (4) and he loves him right back the same way.

I asked Isaiah what we should name him now I am thinking he would come up with like a Bob or Steve or Maybe Billy but no my son decides that the ferret's name should be his name only last name first, first name last. I was dying it was too funny.
