4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 No One Is Safe

Where I live is considered a city but it is a small one. Sure we have a lot of problems that the bigger cities have but it usually controlled usually by itself because I tell you the police in this town suck. They always use the same damn phrase for everything ‘Well if we didn’t see it we can’t do anything about it”.

It was only a matter of time that the underground illegal activities in this city broke the surface as they know just like us law abiding citizens that the police aren’t shit here in this town.

Just this past Sunday not even a mile from my house in the middle of the day, two brothers were shot and killed inside their home. There were two kids in the house at the time 2 and 4 thank goodness who ever did this deed had enough heart not to kill those babies. Now they will have to live with what they saw for the rest of their lives. Just as I expected the city police have no suspects and probably never will.

Then just yesterday afternoon another shooting at a convenience store that is on a main street corner. It’s scary to think people are that ballsy and to think that an innocent person could be caught up in what ever battles these people have with each other.

Another sad fact is that this is the norm in a lot of the cities here in our country. Point blank we are living in dangerous times and there is no safe place anymore.

Valentine's Day Equals More Mommy Work

Here I am on the eve of another ‘holiday’ for all you who may not know tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. For me it means running around last minute (because that’s just how I roll) gathering the valentines for Isaiah (5) and Geneva (1 ˝) for their classroom parties at daycare. I even bought some brownies for both classes.

Now here comes the Mommy work associated with this holiday… filling out a bunch of valentines for the kids arghhhhhhhhhh.

Then their going to come home tomorrow with a bag each of valentines from their classmates and this equals more Mommy work as I will be picking up the darned things from around the house until next year!!!!!!

Happy early V day to you all.

 Co Sleeping

Some people do not believe in co sleeping with their children especially here in the US however it is accepted socially in many other countries. I have always believed and practiced co sleeping with my kids since they were young.

I feel there are some great benefits to the child and the parent. Life is so fast paced now a days that it is hard to spend quality time with your kids. It means the world to me to snuggle with my children and just talk to you can’t talk anymore.

Some people say that children who co sleep with their parents will not transition to sleep alone, this is not the case with my kids. Each of them has grown out of it at different times at their own pace.

Darian (14) grew out of it after a few months when he was still an infant who broke my heart but I did not force it on him. Cullen (10) just grew out of it about a year ago. Just when I was so lonely with my bed to myself Isaiah (5) joined me.

I actually look forward to the evenings when he and I speak about everything under the sun. This is one of the perks of motherhood for me.

 I've Been Robbed

My intentions were great... buy something for myself with my tax money...a laptop. So I head off to Best Buy a store that just moved into Taunton but I was familiar with from Worcester.

The girl who helped me was so nice and knowledgeable I left very happy. I came home and found out a lap top is not for me, the keys drive me nuts and I can't type the way I can on my desktop. Them I also sat there thinking all the thing I could buy the kids with that money.

One day later I bring it back to Best Buy. They told me I could retuun it within 14 days. When I get to customer service the manager tells me 'you know there is a resticking fee'
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I was not told that. So they want me to give them 100.00 for NOTHING.

I explained that the sales girl never explained that to me. The answer I get is well she should have told you and he also tells me the procedure is on the back of the receipt.

So I argued with them for a while and then decided I was not going to get anywhere with the 20 something snotty news manager on duty and that I would have to take it up with the main office.

I am now coming into the new week with a new battle and for once it is not with my kids

Sometimes You Just Can't Do It All

Today was a ball of stress. Geneva (1 ˝) had to stay home because she got sick at day care yesterday.

I approached the day with no fears or anxiety I was going to be able to be super mommy working and taking care of a sick baby besides how hard can that be.

This morning I was counting my blessings that I am able to work from home and how convenient it is when one of the kids are sick. Ask me tonight and you would get a whole other answer.

In between calls I had to shoo Neva away from anything and everything. I even took her to the voting polls today.

Today was fun fun fun yes I went from 4 kids I must be nuts to one kid and work now I am ready to explode into a big ball of stress. Oh calgon please take me away.
