4 Kids I Must Be Nuts

 Another Girls Day Out

Today it was Geneva's (8 months old) turn for a little one on one action. We visited Nonny in the nursing home. This made day 2 for me but I haven't brought the baby in a few weeks.
All the residents love seeing a baby it makes them come alive. It brings me so much joy to make their day. I have always adored elderly people. The stories they tell are so interesting.
While we were visiting in the rec room a man fell over on to the floor! All I heard was a big thump then there he was sideways on the floor with the wheelchair still attached to his body. The nurse ran over to him but could not pick him up. Here I am with the baby in my arms feeling helpless not knowing what I could do to help. I asked the nurse if she wanted me to go get someone she told me no then ran out of the rec room leaving me with a room filled with old people, my infant daughter and this poor man laying on the floor.
I could not just sit there with him laying on the floor. I hurried to his side holding the baby in one arm and rubbing his hand with my other. I kept urging him not to try to move that they were getting help for him but he kept flopping like a fish out of water. I then pulled a chair close to him so I could sit with the baby. I rubbed his hair, again urging him not to move so he would not hurt himself. Finally 3 nurses came in to get him up. They were saying how this was the THIRD TIME he fell!
I feel so bad for these elderly people who have busted their butts all their lives and now their at the mercy of sometimes uncapable people.
The poor guy started to ask for water after he was sat back up. The nurse in the room would not answer him all though he kept asking for water. Then my Nonny said she wanted some to. I asked the nurse if I could get both of them water she did not respond just looked at me wierd (I think there was a language barrier there I am not sure) so I just went and got the two cups of water giving them both some. The little guy drank with speed then kept looking at me smiling. I waved he waved back.
Neva started to get restless hitting me in the head with a cup. My Nonny sternly tells Neva 'Don't you hit your mother!' then smiles. She hardly ever makes full sentences anymore let alone makes sense so that was amazing.
As I was leaving a resident asked to see the baby so I brought Neva to her. She asked her name I answered Geneva. The resident told me how she thought that was a beautiful name. With a proud smile I told the story of how my Nonny told me I was pregnant before I knew I was, how she told me I was having a girl too. So when I found out a month later the name had to be Geneva for the little girl. I love telling that story I even love the proud smile that comes over my Nonny's face when she hears it.
I cherish every moment I have with that woman as I know life is short. Nonny has instilled in me so many things that make me who I am today. She handed down her strength, her mothering skills, independence, sense of humor, temper and all around great personality!

One on One Day Darian and I

Yesterday it was Darian (13) and I who spent the day together. We shopped for a winter jacket for myself. I ended up getting a jacket and even splurged on a new pair of sneakers for myself. Those of you who are Mom's know how much we Mom's go without for our kids. It is so easy for me to buy for my kids yet so hard to buy for myself even if it is needed. I have gone this whole winter so far without a winter coat, I finally gave in
Darian picked out a hat and jacket. He looks so grown up
We had a good day shopping, talking and visiting Nonny at the nursing home. It's always nice to spend one on one time with the kiddos.
I enjoy spending time with Darian as he is the oldest so we can talk on a different level. Even making faces behind my Mom's back as we all walked into the nursing home. I felt like such a kid again with the brother I never had

Calling A Truce To The Tit For Tat War

Last night BF and I got out for a nice dinner at a real establishment other then burker king, Mcdonald's, Wendy's you feel me? My Mom watched the kids it was really great we do not have a lot of time to ourselves and that is where I think a lot of our bickering comes from. We have only been on a number of these little dates during our 6 years together. Then of course there were the births of our 2 kids together that always got us a weekend away from the house and alone in our hospital room (hmmm so vacation)
It wasn't easy to get out of the house last night as Cullen (9 yearold) decides this would be his cue to freak out. He got pissey the minute he asked me where I was going when he saw me putting on my makeup. He cried and played the guilt trip but I pressed on with my Mom's encouragment that he is just too bonded to me and not use to me getting out.
Then there was my Mom and BF telling me that Neva is going to get deathly ill for putting her poop in her mouth. BF is telling me about something called Collera and how kids from thirs world countries die from ingesting fecal matter. I am freaking out as they are scaring the poopies out of me as I tell them yeah but it's her own poop???? Then I tell BF do you have any idea how many times each of these kids have probably stuck their hands in their own poop and touched their mouth??????
So I called the pediatrician as my Mom urged me to do. I felt like a COMPLETE ASS. Ah hello my daughter covered herself in poop then stuck her hand in her mouth is she destined to die now? They handled it professionally all though I am sure I will be one of those stories they talk about They say she should be fine.
So after all that drama we were off for a few hours alone. It was very nice I felt like a normal adult again.

Little Game Called Tit For Tat

My boyfriend and I play this game all the time. I try not to get involved but sometimes his comparisons really PISS me off
This morning I get an email from him with 2 videos. One video of what he is doing at work, he's in construction so their demolishing the insides of an apartment. Then the second video is his stupid ass telling me that he wanted to share what he does during the day so I can understand why he is tired and not of much help with the house and kids. WHAT HELLO????? YEP THIS IS IT I AM MORPHING INTO SUPER BITCH RIGHT ABOUT NOW!
So I forgot about it, not responding to it but a little aggravted that he seems to think that being a stay at home Mom to 4 kids of all ages is a freakin walk in the park!!!!
Then comes the PAYBACK yep I'M GOING TO PLAY A LITTLE TIT FOR TAT WITH THIS ONE. I have to!
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Yep people's that is poop on her mouth and body! I was letting her air out because she has another diaper rash. I'm cleaning the house I look at her and was shocked at what I saw! She had her hand covered in it gumming away at it!
My dumb ass tried to clean her up using wipes, that WAS NOT HAPPENING I got it more on her and me so off to her first shower!
So of course I had to send my wonderful man a little email with her pic in the regarding line you may ask? TIT FOR TAT YEAH THAT'S SHIT ON HER MOUTH MY DAY WAS NO BETTER THEN YOURS ASSHOLE.

 Cullen's Promise To Neva

Last night I was holding Neva on my lap after I had brushed my hair for bed. Neva (8 Month Old) picked up the brush, gumming it as she does to every object she has. Cullen (9 yearold) sat next to us, Nevaa suddenly came to life laughing and smiling. She picked up the brush and started to brush Cullen's hair. He loved it just as much as she did.
Then Cullen looks at me and said how much he loves having a sister. I laughed and told him wait until she gets old enough to invite you to tea partys and really wants to do your hair. He serriously told me how it wouldn't matter what she wanted him to do because he loves her so much.
Testing his promise I asked him if he would even play barbies with her. He didn't even have to think he replied of course. Only time will tell but it is so sweet to see all of my boys loving this little girl worshiping her as if she were royalty. She is the princess of our house
